Tafiti

With 6 months in Layout, I was responsible for 4 key sequences, including the "darkest hour" and the final showdown, learning how to match the director’s vision.
In over a year in Animation, I worked on more than 50 shots, ranging from comedy to action to dramatic performances. With a quota of 28 approved frames per day, every sequence challenged me to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality animation.

Paula
”Lift OFf”

For this second project, I wanted to build on Himalaya’s core values while further developing Paula as a character. I designed an ambitious ad campaign, featuring everything from interactive 3D models to a short film and a comic. Along the way, personal and professional challenges taught me invaluable lessons in time management and budgeting as a freelancer, while also reinforcing my deep commitment to the craft.

Freelancing

From creating a 12cm 3D print of Paula and teaching 3D animation at SAE College, to editing teasers for local theaters and painting a 160x80 commissioned piece of the Kölner Dom. Between larger projects, I’ve engaged in various freelance endeavors that taught me how to bring a professional edge to every project.

Mucklas

Working on Mucklas required me to develop strong self-management skills, as the project was completed entirely from home. When an additional Layout Artist was needed, I had the opportunity to sequence a scene where the heroes reunite, deepening my understanding of storytelling through images.

Paula
“Rocks Himalaya ”

Himalaya, a start-up by HIMA, hired me to create an inspiring opener for their launch day. Alongside a colleague, we designed Paula, an adventurous robot built with a magnetic system—embodying the brand’s value of flexibility while saving us time in animation. ‘
With creative problem-solving at every step, the video premiered on time on 12.02.2021.

Moonbound

Over 6 months, I honed my skills in body mechanics, learning to convey the weight of heavy objects and even tackle acting shots. “Shoot reference, Block it. Spline it. Repeat!”
I learned to be an Animator on a tight Budget.

Pixl VIsn

In a year and a half at Pixl Visn, I became proficient in industry-standard tools like Autodesk Maya and explored every aspect of the 3D pipeline. To showcase this, I created Bridge Brawl, a teaser that combined everything I had learned into a short, dynamic action sequence.
